2024 Online Sale

To help enable residents to participate in the sustainable practices of home composting and rainwater reuse, Baltimore County will be hosting an online pre-order sale for compost bins and rain barrels. The sale is not limited to Baltimore County residents.

Order Online

Residents will be able to order products online from Friday, March 1 through Friday, April 12. The following prices include tax:

  • Compost bins—$55 each
  • Rain barrels—$65 each

Order Pickup

Please bring receipt of purchase with you when picking up your order. All orders must be picked up on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from the following distribution location: 

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC)—Essex Campus
7201 Rossville Boulevard, Lot 7
Baltimore Maryland 21237

Notification of Future Events

Subscribers to the Bureau of Solid Waste Management's email list will be notified of future compost bin and rain barrel sales. Email recycle@baltimorecountymd.gov to subscribe. Residents subscribed to the list will also receive the Bureau's monthly e-newsletter, The Resource.

About Reusing Rainwater

Collecting and reusing rainwater is a great way to help the environment and your garden because rainwater is free from chlorine and other water treatment chemicals. Using a rain barrel reduces water pollution that can at times be caused by stormwater runoff.
