Francis Scott Key Bridge Incident Updates

A building permit is required for all retaining walls over three feet. 

Required Documents

You must provide the following when submitting your permit application. 

  • Construction Plans
  • Site Plans—Required for all applications. 
    • If commercial, site plans must be a minimum of one inch equals 100 feet, engineer's scale.
    • If residential, view the residential site plan.
  • Retaining Wall LetterFor residential only. Must be signed by owner.
