Customers who require assistance from home or wish to attend a career services orientation to learn more may contact their local Career Center. Learn more about job search assistance and available career training.
Computer Lab Safety
- Computer lab capacity will be reduced by no less than 50 percent.
- Computer and resource area usage is limited to a one-hour time limit per day.
- Career Center staff will be able to assist with lab services.
Chromebook Giveaway
The Department of Economic and Workforce Development is giving away Chromebooks to eligible County households by appointment only. Call one of the Career Centers to schedule an appointment.
Only one Chromebook is available per County household. If you already received a Chromebook from a prior giveaway, you may not receive another one, and you may not pick up a Chromebook for anyone from another household.
To qualify, you must bring:
- Photo ID
- Proof of Baltimore County residency
- Proof of one of the following:
- Income of less than or equal to 200 percent of federal poverty level
- Medicaid
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
- Federal housing benefits
- Child(ren) receives free or reduced-price lunch program at Baltimore County Public Schools
- Federal Pell Grant (in the current award year)
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
