Admission Rates
Admission rates apply Opening Day in May through Labor Day and are subject to change. Credit cards are preferred. Please call ahead to make a reservation.
For Individuals
Individuals with boats, kayaks, canoes and jet skis are charged the individual rate. Tax is included in individual rates below.
General admission is for all age groups excluding seniors, military, first responders and children in rear-facing car seats.

Kayak Share Program
Join Baltimore County Recreation and Parks Kayak Share program and enjoy paddling at Loch Raven Fishing Center, Marshy Point Nature Center, Rocky Point Park and Miami Beach Park. Membership includes use of a kayak, paddle, life vest and seasonal admission to Rocky Point Park and Miami Beach Park. The cost is $200 for ages 18 and over. The 2024 applications are available through CivicRec. The Loch Raven Fishing Center, Rocky Point and Miami Beach are included in the Kayak Share Program but also have individual rentals.
- Swimming allowed only from guarded beach area during posted hours.
- Glass containers are prohibited.
- Children under 12 years of age are to be accompanied by an adult while on the beach or waterfront.
- No throwing sand, mud, rocks, etc.
- Motor vehicles allowed only in designated parking areas. Speed limit is 10 MPH.
- Report all accidents and injuries to the lifeguard on duty at the first aid room.
- Crab shells must be removed from the premises. Place all other trash in receptacles.
- Dump charcoal in red cans only.
- Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the park closing time is 7 p.m. All other times park closing time is sunset.
- No rain checks or refunds will be issued.
- Unruly behavior, as determined by beach staff, may result in expulsion from the park.
- Bands, amplified and live music is prohibited.
- No pets allowed, except those that are assisting the sight impaired or handicapped.
- Beer and wine is allowed only in designated areas with appropriate permit approved by park office. No hard liquor is permitted. Approval must be obtained at least 10 days prior to event.
- All groups are to have a minimum of one adult per seven children at all times.
- Pavilions and groves are available by advanced reservations. If these are not booked, they become first come, first served.
- Groups of 20 or more need to reserve in advance for a group permit.
- No fishing is permitted in beach areas.
- Camp Rule—Staff must stay with group while in the water. The buddy system must be set up in advance.
- Caterers must clean up after their event. If the caterer does not stay to the completion, the group is then responsible.
- Boat launching and landing, to enter the park, is prohibited.
- Personal watercraft must launch from the boat ramp. No entry or exit from the shore.
- Inner tubes, inflatable swimming aids, beach balls, masks, fins and snorkel equipment shall be prohibited in the swimming area. Only approved United States Coast Guard personal floatation devices will be permitted.
- Inflatable amusements such as moon bounces, slides and Velcro walls are not permitted in the park.
Reserve a Facility at Rocky Point Park
Reservations are made through CivicRec. Groups of 12 or more must make a reservation.
Your reservation is not valid until you receive a signed permit from our office. We do not issue rain dates or give refunds due to inclement weather. You are permitted to bring a pop-up tent no larger than 10 by 10 feet.
Both pavilions and area rental rates include admission to the park for the capacity noted and use of the area. Capacity includes adults and children. Any additional guests after capacity must pay the entrance fee at the gate. Examples of private parties are company picnics, family reunions, birthday and celebration parties.

Water Sampling
Water sampling is conducted by Environmental Heath Services April through November.
