About the Commander

Captain Scott Walston is a 17-year veteran of law enforcement. He joined
the Baltimore County Police Department in December 2006 and began
his career in the White Marsh Precinct as a Patrol Officer. Most recently,
he was assigned to the Parkville Precinct as the Assistant Precinct Commander.
  • 2006—Entered the Baltimore County Police Academy
  • 2007-2014—Assigned to the White Marsh Precinct as a Patrol Officer
  • 2013—Joined the Dignitary Witness Protection Team (Ad-Hoc)
  • 2014-2015—Assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division of the Robbery Unit as a Detective
  • 2015-2017—Promoted to the Rank of Corporal and assigned to the Parkville Precinct
  • 2017—Assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Special Victims Unit as a Corporal
  • 2018-2019—Promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the White Marsh Precinct as a Patrol Sergeant and as the Investigative Services Sergeant
  • 2019-2021—Assigned to the Internal Affairs Division as a Sergeant
  • 2021-2022—Promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the White Marsh Precinct
  • 2021-2023—Assigned as the Commander of the Dignitary Witness Protection Team (Ad-Hoc)
  • 2022-2023—Assigned to the Parkville Precinct as the Assistant Precinct Commander
  • 2023—Promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned to the Cockeysville Precinct as the Commander
